Architetture
di Spazi Minimi

How much room is left for others when everything urges us to defend ourselves?
The project
Three bodies move through a present marked by violence, conflict and the difficulty of being together. The tension of the world enters their gestures: it hardens, separates and feeds the need for protection. Caught between the desire for contact and the fear of exposure, every encounter can become a confrontation — or open up a possibility.
Architetture di spazi minimi searches for this possibility in the little space left between one body and another: a supporting hand, a gaze that does not turn away, a shared weight. Care does not erase conflict. It moves through it, questioning distance, force and power within relationships.
This minimal space is not a refuge from the world: it is a place to try changing its rules. A 15-minute performance, adaptable to theatres and outdoor spaces.
The research
To defend, withdraw, attack, escape. Or reach towards another. The research begins with these responses and the ways they leave their mark on bodies. Fears, memories and contradictions become choreographic material: distances to negotiate, balances to rebuild, boundaries to listen to.
The three performers build temporary architectures out of support, interlocking bodies and separation. None can inhabit them alone: every gesture changes the others’ space, every loss of balance calls for a response. Vulnerability is no longer only something to conceal; it becomes a possibility for connection.

Costumes
The costumes carry this tension too: military uniforms transformed with lace and white fabric. Harshness meets tenderness; the impulse to defend oneself coexists with the desire to trust another. In these bodily encounters, mutual care takes shape as a tangible practice of resistance.

Sound
Live music, composed and performed by Sabrina Boarino, accompanies the process as a physical presence by shaping the sonic space and entering into dialogue with movement.
Sabrina is a musician and a singer-songwriter with a solid background, she brings to the stage an original blend of synthesizers and voice, shaping a layered and immersive soundscape.
Sound and body share the stage, cohabiting the space and creating areas of mutual resonance.
